The Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation has announced the addition of two new members to the Board of Trustees. Gene Stevens and Gary Wilson will replace outgoing board members David Healy and Karl Heminger.

Gene Stevens is the owner and president of Gene Stevens Honda in Findlay, Ohio. Gene is a member of the Hancock County Chamber of Commerce, a past president and life member of the Optimist Club, past president of Findlay Noon Rotary, chairman of Ohio Auto Dealers Association 2004 and 2005, and a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church since 1962.

Gary Wilson recently retired after 30 years of service at the Ohio State University Extension Agency. Gary is a member of the Findlay Exchange Club, Arlington School Foundation board member, and Hancock Leadership Alumni Associate board member. Gary received Hancock Leadership Alumni Association’s Distinguished Leadership Award.

The Community Foundation Board of Trustees has also announced that the officers for 2012-2013 will be Chairperson, Patricia Brown; Vice Chairman and Secretary, Mike Needler; and Treasurer, Garry Peiffer.

The Community Foundation Board of Trustees is a nine-member volunteer board which is responsible for the policy-making and oversight of the foundation’s operations, protecting the long-term interest and growth of the foundation’s charitable funds and making final decisions on all grant awards. Each board member serves a five-year term, and may serve up to two full terms.
