School Foundation Partner Program

School foundations are an integral part of educational success in the community. The Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation (TCF) supports participating school foundations by managing funds, donations, tax acknowledgments, investments and financial reporting while maintaining the commitment to our donors as set out in the Donor Bill of Rights.

TCF benefits donors who support these school foundations by accepting complex gifts such as grain, estate, and stock gifts. The Foundation is suited for all types of giving and allows donors to support their chosen school foundation in the most sensible way.

Donors will have the opportunity to “opt-in” to share their detailed donation and contact information with the School Foundations when making a gift to one of the participating funds at the Foundation. Providing clear and consistent governance, the Foundation maintains an active Board of Trustees providing proper oversight of the Foundation, all funds associated with the Foundation, and their investment. This allows school foundations to focus resources on supporting their students, teachers, and donors.

As a School Foundation Program Partner, these organizations agree to:

  • Hold all endowment and quasi-endowments at TCF.
  • Identify a single point of contact, as approved by their governing body.
  • Submit signed ethics and confidentiality agreement(s) annually.
  • Receive written authorization from a donor prior to making their name/gift public.

To support the work of the school foundations, TCF will:

  • Provide Organizational Strengthening support.
  • Process all gifts, including tax acknowledgments.
  • Provide donors the opportunity to “opt in” to share additional contact information and gift amounts. Donors can “opt out” at any time by emailing the link below.
  • Provide donor reports monthly.
