Findlay Service League Fund Announced
February 02, 2017
The Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation is pleased to announce the establishment of the Findlay Service League Fund, to support future the Findlay Service League and its projects and programs.
The mission of Findlay Service League is to promote volunteerism, develop the potential of women and improve the community through effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. In 1976, eight women formed Findlay Service League to initiate, organize, implement, support and participate in volunteer projects and services that enhance the quality of life in our community. The training members receive through their volunteer service with Findlay Service League enables them to become positive agents of change in the community within their businesses, schools, and/or other nonprofit work.
Nonprofit organizations place their agency endowments with The Community Foundation as a way to protect and grow their funds for their organizations’ future. As the endowments grow, they become an increasingly valuable source of support for the programs and services these agencies provide to the community.
