What is Community Heart & Soul?

It's a barn-raising approach to community planning and development designed to increase participation in local decision-making and empower residents to shape the future of their communities in a way that upholds the unique character of each place.
Mt. Blanchard, Ohio is undertaking a Heart & Soul initiative in partnership with The Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation and the Orton Family Foundation.
The intern will gain exposure to national experts in rural community development, community organizing and philanthropy.
Job Description
The Mt. Blanchard Region Heart & Soul team has spent the last year collecting over 200 local stories from a wide variety of residents with particular focus on traditionally underrepresented voices. The intern will spend the summer supporting the Heart & Soul Community Co-Coordinators in using the community values to evaluate issues and opportunities that impact the future of the Mt. Blanchard region.
