Volunteers Needed for Community Conversations
May 10, 2017
The Community Foundation and The United Way are partnering for the 2017 Community Conversations this summer and are in need of volunteers to support the project.
The goal of Community Conversations is to talk to more than 1,000 residents from the City of Findlay and Hancock County by July 4. Specific efforts will be made to reach out to rural communities, unheard voices, and outlying neighborhoods in order to hear from new groups. We want to hear from as many residents as possible, in both traditional settings (meetings, schools, etc.) and neighborhood settings (living rooms, nursing homes, etc.). We want to hear from you!
Questions asked at Community Conversations will focus on the type of community participants want to live in and how we can get there. We will then partner with the University of Findlay to analyze the data and create three different reports to be made available for the community including: Lessons Learned, needs assessment/existing services, and a plan for what happens next.
We’re looking for people from throughout our community to get involved in the conversations as conversation hosts, participants, facilitators, and note takers. If you’re interested in participating or learning more, please visit the United Way's website.
