Findlay High School Class of 1970 Scholarship

At the 50th Reunion, the FHS Class of 1970 established the Findlay High School Class of 1970 Scholarship to support future Findlay High School graduates. The scholarship fund was established by Mike Gephart along with committee members Jacki Lizotte Fry, Beth Line Flowers, Greg Meyers, Karen Shoupe, Mike Nannes and Rosemary Shea.
The scholarship was seeded with generous donations from Founders Thomas and Eileen Bibler, Beth Flowers, Mike Gephart, Pam (Shindeldecker) Herzan, Richard Kuck, Greg Meyers, Mike Nannes, Terry and Rosemary Rawson, Jane Dukes Rettig, Lee Richards, Sue Ann Sandusky, Teresa Sarmina, Shelly Ann Sebok (Mondo), Roscoe Schlachter, Karen Shoupe, and Jeff Whitman.
Standards for Determining Eligibility
- The applicant must be a graduating senior of Findlay High School.
- The applicant must be a citizen of the United States of America.
- The applicant must have maintained a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in high school.
- The applicant must plan to attend an accredited technical school, two- or four-year college/university.
- The applicant must plan to be a full-time student.
- Financial need is a need is the priority consideration for awarding the scholarship. Students with the most need based on submitted FAFSA information will be considered first.
- The applicant must demonstrate participation in clubs and extracurricular activities and/or have worked at some point during their high school career.
- Any student who receives a full scholarship that includes all the fees normally payable by policy of The Community Foundation will not qualify for this Scholarship.
