This scholarship was established by Sherry Heacock to support a graduate of Arlington High School who intends to pursue a degree in science and/or engineering.

Standards for Determining Eligibility

  • The applicant must have graduated from Arlington High School.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or above while in the most recent grading period.
  • The applicant must plan to be a full-time student enrolled at an accredited four-year institution.
  • The applicant must be a citizen of the United States.
  • Demonstrate participation in community/volunteer service activities.
  • The applicant intends to pursue science and/or engineering.
  • Financial need is a preference.
  • Any student who receives a full scholarship that includes all the fees normally payable by policy of The Community Foundation will not qualify for this scholarship.
