Kim and Kathy Carty Writing Scholarship

The purpose of the Kathy Carty Writing Scholarship is to provide the opportunity for qualified Findlay High School students to further their writing experience, development and training by pursuing a post-secondary education in writing, English or literature. This scholarship is nonrenewable.

Eligibility

• The applicant must be a Findlay High School graduating senior.
• The applicant must pursue a degree in English, Writing, Literature, Philosophy, English Education, Journalism, or other English and Writing related field.
• The applicant must submit a poem, play, prose, essay, article, etc. which has been written in the last two years.
• The applicant must demonstrate participation in school related activities and outside interests or activities.
• Students who receive full scholarship support from other organizations or institutions will not be considered for this scholarship.
