Linda B. Ziegler Scholarship

This fund was established by Linda, Emil, and Brent Ziegler for a Findlay High School graduating senior who will study at an accredited college, university, or vocational school. This scholarship was the first scholarship established at The Community Foundation. It was elevated to a renewable scholarship by Joyce and Emil Ziegler in 2022.
The purpose of this award is to provide financial assistance to deserving students graduating from Findlay High School for their study at an accredited college, university, or vocational school on a full-time basis and for the purpose of improving or developing their capabilities.
Standards for Determining Eligibility of Students
This scholarship is dedicated to the well-rounded student who has demonstrated hard work, good citizenship, dependability, and character.
- The applicant must be a graduating senior at Findlay High School.
- Applicant must be enrolled in or accepted for admission in an educational institution that normally maintains a regular faculty and curriculum and normally has a regular organized body of students in attendance in the place where its educational activities are carried on. This may include a college, university, trade school or business school.
- Student achievement, merit, and accomplishments are to be considered primary factors in the selection process.
- Applicant must demonstrate character and desire that they may be expected to work hard and complete their education.
- Applicant must show sufficient academic ability to ensure completion of the course of study necessary to graduate from the educational institution chosen. A grade point average of 3.5 is required.
- The applicant must be a citizen of the United States of America.
- Financial need is not a consideration.
- Applicants who receive full scholarship support from other organizations or institutions will not be considered for this scholarship.
