Younger Family Clubhouse Reading Center Fund

Established 2021

The Clubhouse is a free literacy outreach service provided to the children of Hancock County and surrounding areas sponsored by the University of Findlay's College of Education. The Clubhouse Mission is to support and enhance the reading skills and needs of area children through relevant and personal reading assessments and intervention.

Programs

  • 1882 Club - Students are challenged to read 1882 minutes over the course of the semester. Open to readers birth to grade 12.
  • 3-2-1 Program - Offered three times a year, this program offers free small group (3:1) tutoring from Findlay undergraduate and graduate education students.
  • C.H.I.P. Program - Readers receive one-on-one tutoring from College of Education students.

This fund, established by Chuck Younger, will support the Clubhouse Reading Center at the University of Findlay and its programs.
